Meet the pioneer Diocesan Bishop of Kwoi — shepherd, visionary, servant of God and community.
Rt. Rev'd Paul Samuel Zamani is a man of remarkable faith, academic distinction, and pastoral dedication. Born on June 16, 1964, in Lisuru Gida, Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State, he answered God's call to ministry at an early age — a call that would eventually place him at the helm of an entirely new Diocese.
Bishop Zamani pursued theological education at the prestigious St. Francis of Assisi Theological College in Zaria, before completing his Bachelor of Divinity at the Theological College of Northern Nigeria (TCNN) in Jos — two of the most respected theological institutions in Northern Nigeria.
His ministry journey took him through several Dioceses — Kaduna, Abuja, and Gwagwalada — where he served in various leadership capacities. He also served as chaplain to former Primate Most Rev'd Jasper Akinola, a role that sharpened his administrative and pastoral instincts ahead of his historic appointment.
"A visionary shepherd whose tireless efforts continue to shape the Diocese into a hub of spiritual vitality and community transformation."
As Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev'd Zamani carries out a wide range of spiritual, administrative, and pastoral responsibilities.
Chief shepherd of the Diocese, exercising doctrinal authority and serving as the sacramental administrator across all parishes and institutions.
Direct oversight of the welfare of clergy and laity — ensuring the spiritual and physical wellbeing of every member of the Diocesan family.
Upholds Anglican doctrine and church discipline with wisdom and grace — maintaining the integrity of the faith as received by the Church of Nigeria.
Confirms, ordains, and consecrates as required — the only person in the Diocese authorized to ordain clergy and consecrate fellow bishops.
Bishop Zamani is widely recognized as a visionary leader whose practical faith has translated into measurable transformation across the communities the Diocese serves.
Growth from a founding Diocese to over 50 thriving parishes across Jaba Land and its attachments.
Establishment of Anglican Grammar Schools in Samban-Gida and Fadan Kagoma, providing quality education to thousands.
Founding the Anglican College of Health Science & Technology, Samban-Gida — a pioneering institution in the region.
Initiating the Anglican Mission Hospital project — currently 60% complete — which will transform healthcare access for Jaba LGA.
Establishing Skill Acquisition Centres in Samban-Gida and Barde to empower community members economically.
Strengthening of Anglican traditions, fellowship networks, and inter-church relationships within and beyond the Diocese.
We continue to pray for Rt. Rev'd Paul S. Zamani — for strength, divine wisdom, and a lasting legacy. May God sustain his health, enlarge his vision, and multiply the fruit of his faithful service for many years to come. May the Diocese of Kwoi remain a beacon of light, growth, and revival for generations.
